JC's Community Commitment
"Reaching JC by phone on Saturdays may prove somewhat difficult at times.  Here’s why:"

As a Realtor and business owner I firmly believe in giving back to the community that supports my business. To this end I have organized a roadside litter pickup program for the City of Bremen.  Each Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon I meet with a number of community service workers for this purpose.  As I drive them around in a city provided van we manage to maintain the cleanliness of all the streets throughout the City of Bremen.  We began the program on 03/21/09. To date (06/15/09), we have collected 394 bags of trash, 36 tires, one mattress, one car bumper and one fire extinguisher.  Most streets are cleaned up twice per week while others are placed on a bi-weekly schedule.

In an effort to prevent the occurrence of litter altogether the city has placed “Don’t Be A Litterbug” signs in several high-traffic areas.

My personal goal is to not only clean up the litter, but also to attempt to educate people in the prevention of it from the outset.  A most direct approach is through the use of visual reminders such as “anti-litter message” signage.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED.

Sign Sponsorship:

You as an individual or your business may purchase and sponsor a sign @ cost (sign costs vary and are relatively low).  We will then have the sign erected within your locale.  You may choose from several “anti-litter message” signs and your name and sponsorship will appear at the bottom.

Here’s your opportunity to show your support and pride in the place where you live and work.  This is a great way to 1) spread the word about keeping our home clean and green and 2) give your business additional exposure and recognition for your community involvement.

Simply choose a sign from the following selection, contact us and we will take it from there.

* The City of Bremen has agreed to participate in this program. Contact us and we will attempt to bring your community on board as well.
